CTOF 2017 Breakout Sessions

ETOSS Antegrade Wiring

ETOSS Antegrade Wiring

The ETOSS simulator allows operators to gain a live 360° view of their wire passage through a simulated occlusion segment. The characteristics and performance of different CTO wires and how these can be modified by the use of microcatheters provides an invaluable insight into antegrade wire-based techniques for CTO PCI.

Mentice CTO SIM

Mentice CTO SIM

The Mentice VR Simulator provides state of the art virtual reality simulation of complex angioplasty procedures. Newly developed simulations of CTO procedures allows delegates to practice using different CTO-specific wires and devices in a safe environment and to practice the recognition and management of common complications.

Retrograde Snaring

Retrograde Snaring

Using the AterioSim 3D-printed aorta, delegates will learn how to snare a retrograde RG3 wire using the EnSnare device. The transparent model enables direct visualization of the interaction between antegrade and retrograde guide catheters during wire externalization highlighting important safety considerations.

Retrograde Reverse Cart

Retrograde Reverse Cart

Around two thirds of all retrograde CTO PCI procedures will utilise the reverse CART process. Using our PCI simulator, delegates will develop a deeper understanding of this technique, how to trouble shoot its common failure modes and how to use the Guideliner to increase procedural success.

Case competition at CTOF17

Case Competition

Faced the unusual? Found a novel solution? Recovered from a terrible complication?
Entries for case competition will be uploaded in advance as presentations with embedded video and judged by the faculty.
Three highest quality cases will win free registration; and the top case will receive a copy of the Antegrade PCI iBook.
