Optimal CTO is a 2 day, live-case focused meeting featuring some of the world’s best CTO operators. Held in London at the Royal College of Physicians and featuring live cases from Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.

Based at St George's University NHS Trust, Dr Spratt is an experienced interventional cardiologist with a sub-specialty interest in CTO PCI. He enjoys supporting physicians to learn and develop skills. He has a particular interest in CTO education and the integration of new technology.

Colm has global experience in training physicians in complex and CTO PCI. He has performed live cases across the world and is published widely within the fields of CTO and complex PCI.

Simon Walsh

Simon has significant expertise in live cases and proctoring physicians within CTO and complex PCI. He has been a major contributor to the evidence within both these fields.

Alan Bagnall

Alan is a consultant interventional cardiologist at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. He is an author of several CTO publications and a major contributor to the UK Hybrid CTO and Recharge databases.

Tony DeMartini

Tony DeMartini is an Advocate Health Midwest Heart Specialist from Edward Hospital, Chicago, IL. He is the Director of Complex PCI for the health system and specialises in CTO PCI and Protected PCI.

Jonathan Hill

Jonathan Hill is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Director of the Cardiac Catheter Labs at King's College Hospital, London.

John Irving
John Irving

John is a consultant interventional cardiologist at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, UK. He led the development of PCI in Dundee from the first PCI to a comprehensive service and was an early adopter of all aspects of the hybrid approach.

Paul Knaapen

Paul Knaapen is specialized in complex PCI and non-invasive coronary imaging. He is co-director of the CTO program together with Alex Nap at the VU University Medical Center.
